WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Boiling Point is a police action plotted man-hunt drama which stars Wesley Snipes as Treasury Agent Jimmy Mercer, on the trail of a smooth-talking crime sleaze (Dennis Hooper) and his quick-fingered accomplice who likes to kill people, cops not excepted. The story is based on a novel by Gerald Petievich, To Live And Die In LA. Snipes plays Mercer, a no-nonsense agent who’s tough, proud, and not above stretching the law to smoke out his partner’s killers. Hooper as Red is looking for his last big score before the mob catches up to him demanding payment for past debts.
