WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Redford is the Electric Horseman, an ex-champion rodeo star reduced to huckstering breakfast food in a suit studded with flashing lights. After years of “selling out,” he finally decides to make his mark on the universe when he steals a multi-million dollar recehorse from aLas Vegas casino and decides to set it free in the wild. Fonda plays a hotshot reporter fast on his trail.

LaserDisc Picture:
The theatrical Panavision® frame has been recomposed at 2.24:1. Overall the colors are vividly rendered and only slightly faded in places. Contrast is excellent with natural fleshtones for a very natural look. The transfer is very clean with no marring artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
Nothing exciting about the monaural soundtrack which is undistinguished. Dialogue sounds harsh, but Willie Nelson delivers the songs.
