Story Synopsis:
Based on a Jim Thompson novel and a remake of the 1972 movie starring Steve McQueen and Ali McGraw, The Getaway is an action adventure that revolves around the professional criminal duet Doc McCoy (Alec Baldwin) and his lovely wife Carol (Kim Basinger).
LaserDisc Picture:
The 2.40:1 picture has a natural, soft fo-cused look with natural fleshtones. Colors are consistently accurate. While it is artifact free, there is a slight grain visible in some scenes.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack surround is aggressive with good bass extension down to 30 Hz! And music score is spatially enveloping.
