WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
With lavish dancing by The New York City Ballet and a handsome narration by Kline, this production comes alive with warm cheer and holiday tradition. When a wooden Russian-style nutcracker is given to the young dreamy Marie (Cohen) at a Christmas party, she swoons in visions of sugarplums, angels, candy canes, and mice—all brought to life in a magical sequence. With a surprise performance by Culkin as the Nutcracker Prince and spectacular stage designs, this movie is a real family treat with all the spirit of Christmas.
