WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
The first American movie to be partially filmed in Russia’s Red Square, Schwarzenegger portrays a sternly disciplined Russian detective, Captain Ivan Danko, who gets mixed up with a sloppy American cop, Art Ridzik (Belushi). Together they pursue one of Russia’s deadliest drug traffickers throughout the streets of Chicago, with their two very different styles in constant, but humorous, clash.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture has been matted at 1.85:1. Fleshtones are accurate and overall imagery is detailed and sharp with a natural appearance. Some minor artifacts are apparent but the image is solid with no noise or grain.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The Dolby Surround® soundtrack is well recorded with excellent sense of soundstaging and a fine music score that is dynamic and enveloping. Plenty of great directional effects and great bass extension.
