WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
The Western spoof Wagons East! is notable as being John Candy’s last film. In it he plays Harlow, a wagonmaster with a terrible secret. When Phil Taylor, played by Richard Lewis, and a group of settlers in the town of Prosperity, decide that the Old West is not what it’s cracked up to be, and want to give it up and go back home, they hire Harlow to lead their wagons East. But Harlow is not always sure just where the route is. An evil railroad baron, played by Gailard Sartain, is determined to turn the wagons around because it’s just not good for business, and hires a killer (Ed Lauter) and the US cavalry to persuade them.

LaserDisc Picture:
