WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Mem’ries.... Sydney Pollack’s romantic drama The Way We Were stars Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand as a conservative writer and a liberal political-activist Jewish girl who fall in love. Over time, their basic differences eventually tear them apart. This old-fashioned tearjerker endures as a classic in the corners of the minds of most romantics.

LaserDisc Picture:
The Panavision® scope 2.35:1 frame is a bit over saturated, but images are sharp and detailed, and colors are vivid with deep, solid blacks. Fleshtones are natural and there is no distracting noise or artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The sound is undistinguished mono and a very compressed “The Way We Were.”
