WSR Narrative Review |

Story Synopsis:
Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home, the sequel to the original smash family hit, is a touching humanitarian drama about a unique friendship between Jesse, a 12-year old troubled foster kid (Jason James Richter), and Willy, a 7,000-pound killer whale.
LaserDisc Picture:
The noise and artifact-free Panavision® picture is framed at 2.40:1. Color fidelity is excellent with vivid and rich hues, deep solid blacks, and natural fleshtones.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The filmmakers evidently chose not to use the 5.1 discrete palette in their mix in spite of the enormous opportunity for doing so. The matrix PCM version delivers a more pleasing surround envelopment presence.
