Sheen stars as Zane Zaminsky, a radio astronomer for NASA’s extraterrestrial listening program, who stumbles across a transmission from a distant star. When he turns the tape over to his boss (Silver), he is suspiciously fired. In his search for the truth, Zane comes across a mysterious power plant generating more than just electricity—and run by people who are not what they appear.
