WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
When a scandal brewing in the White House in My Fellow Americans threatens to implicate two ex-chief executives, Russell Kramer (Jack Lemmon) and Matthew Douglas (James Garner) enter into the real America to dodge the operatives who want to track them down and try to find evidence to prove their innocence. On their crash course, the two learn about the country that elected them and how their politics affected the citizens.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.92:1 picture exhibits excellent color fidelity with rich and warm colors, natural fleshtones and deep solid blacks. Images are sometimes wanting in sharpness and detail, but have excellent shadow detail and contrast. The slightest noise is apparent, but there are no detected artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The music score has a wide and deep soundstage with natural sounding bass. In one scene, the Dolby® DIgital 5.1 discrete surrounds are engaged, but otherwise the sound is mono, with ADR-produced dialogue.
