WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Booty Call tells the outrageous adventures of Bunz (Jamie Foxx) and Rushon (Tommy Davidson), two friends hoping to score with their beautiful dates. But Nikki (Tamala Jones) and Lysterine (Vivica A. Fox) are modern women with more that one definition of ”safe sex,” and getting them into bed is going to be a little more complicated that Bunz and Rushon imagined. When the two friends finally end up in the girls’ adjacent apartments, Nikki’s Jack Russell terrier destroys Rushon’s only condom. Thus begins a hilarious series of misadventures which seem designed to keep Rushon and Bunz out of bed and on the run!

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.85:1 picture looks generally natural with good color fidelity, accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Images are mostly sharp and detailed with good shadow detail and contrast. Only the slightest noise is apparent in some scenes.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is nicely produced with an excellent dialogue presence that sounds natural and spatially integrated. The rap music score is well recorded and provides the extent of the subtle surround. This is predominantly a monaural soundtrack that is pleasing sounding.
