Story Synopsis

Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington star in the suspense submarine thriller Crimson Tide. Captain Frank Ramsey (Hackman), a hard-nosed veteran and brilliant new Lieutenant Commander Ron Hunter (Washington) are two of the crew on the submarine USS Alabama, sent to monitor Russian waters. When they receive unconfirmed orders to launch the sub’s nuclear missiles, Ramsey and Hunter battle each other on the validity of such orders. The fate of the world is in their hands and a nuclear war is one man away from beginning.
