WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Nothing To Lose is an outrageous comedy that stars the “terrific teamwork” of Tim Robbins and Martin Lawrence. After discovering his wife (Kelly Preston) in bed with his boss, advertising evecutive Nick Beam (Robbins) drives aimlessly through the streets of L.A. and becomes the target of would-be carjacker, T. Paul (Lawrence). But in his anger, Beam turns the tables on Paul and heads straight for the desert. The comical road trip brings Paul and Beam closer as they run from the law, other criminals and devise a plan to rob Beam’s boss for vengeance.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.82:1 picture exhibits excellent color fidelity with rich and vibrant colors, natural fleshtones and deep solid blacks. Shadow detail is excellent and images are sharp and detailed. There is only the slightest noise and artifacts for a picture that is sure to please.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack has a terrific jazz-flavored music score that is nicely recorded. Both the matrix PCM and Dolby® Digital discrete images wide and deep with the matrix sounding slightly more open. The PCM soundtrack resolves low level ambience far better than the Dolby Digital. Dialogue sounds completely natural with good spatial integration.
