WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
It’s 20 years later and Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) is still running scared from her murderous brother in Halloween H20. Now, living in a small town under the alias, Keri Tate, she is the headmistress of a private school that will be all but deserted on Halloween just as a certain white-faced someone arrives.

LaserDisc Picture:
The dark 2.30:1 picture effectively creates a gloomy quality throughout, though colors appear smeared and wanting in clarity. Contrast and shadow delineation are mediocre and wanting in detail in the darkest scenes. When better lighting is provided, color fidelity is naturally rendered with rich colors and deep, solid blacks. Noise is apparent throughout, but artifacts do not distract.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The DTS® Digital Surround soundtrack sounds wonderfully transparent. The surrounds are discrete and effectively directional, with excellent low level ambient resolution. Dialogue sounds perfectly natural with excellent integration. The music score is spatially expansive, wrapping into the surrounds. Bass extends deep with .1 LFE that intensifies the thrills. The soundfield is holosonic with exemplary coherency.
