WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
The story, as told by Antonio Salieri (Abraham in his Academy® Award-winning role), a jealous, but talented court composer, tells of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s (Hulce) astounding talents in composing incredible operas, entire orchestra pieces and his “sickening” popularity and ridiculing personality. It is a story of the mastermind behind the childish man, who was born a miracle in the minds of any musician. Abraham carries Amadeus, with the consuming hatred of Salieri. Winner of eight Academy Awards®, including Best Picture.

LaserDisc Picture:
The THX® digitally mastered picture is the ultimate high definition down conversion. The 2.35:1 picture exhibits a warm, natural quality that is absolutely gorgeous with rich hues and vividly rendered colors. Pristine throughout, the picture exhibits no noise or artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The Dolby® matrix and 5.1-channel soundtracks are distinctive in character, both providing subtle surround envelopment and excellent accompaniment to the music in an otherwise monaural presentation.
