WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Ryan Tyler (Slater) is a young boy separated from his father (Lang), who is the director of a preserve for the endangered giant pandas in China. When Ryan visits his father, he makes a new friend in a Chinese girl (Ding) and the two set out in a desperate attempt to save a baby panda from poachers.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.91:1 picture exhibits excellent color fidelity with natural fleshtones and deep blacks. Colors are vivid, but focus and sharpness are inconsistent. Shadow definition is excellent. Noise is apparent throughout, as are slight artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
There is a beautiful, well recorded music score, natural dialogue, and subtle surround envelopment for a pleasing experience.
