WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
New girl Sarah (Tunney) tries to fit in among a tightly knit student body of a Catholic high school. Three other outcasts, Nancy (Balk), Bonnie (Campbell) and Rochelle (True), barely fitting in with each other, find a power when Sarah joins their secret circle—thus completing the four corners necessary for magic. When their spells magically and mysteriously begin to work, the coven of witches begin to exact vengeance on their enemies—inevitably taking their newfound powers too far.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.82:1 matted picture exhibits natural color fidelity, accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Images are sharp and detailed with good contrast and shadow detail with slight noise and minor artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is not fully developed in its presentation. The ADR-produced dialogue sounds “manufactured” and is wanting in spatial integration. The music score has a narrow soundstage presence with poor imaging and depth. But sound effects are generally presented in stereo and bass is often deep, complementing the action scenes.
