Excite@Home Demonstrated The Future Of Television With Interactive Online Poll At the 51st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards Excite@Home (Nasdaq: ATHM) yesterday announced the long-awaited results of the Excite Emmy's interactive poll that was created solely for the 51st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. In a move never before done during a primetime telecast, television and online audiences had the rare opportunity to help produce this evenings Emmy broadcast. Over 50,000 fans voted through the Internet on Excite over the past two weeks to determine the winners of ""Television's Most Memorable Moments of 1999."" The top five winners were announced Sunday tonight during the live television broadcast on Fox. Highlighting the convergence of the Internet and television, the poll was one of the first events in history that took place on the Internet and was then announced live on a Primetime Awards television broadcast.
