RGB Spectrum will feature several AV/Home Theatre products at the CEDIA Expo, September 24-26, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Though RGB Spectrumís audio-visual products have been installed occasionally in the home environment for years, it is just with this yearís new line of video scalers that RGB has officially entered this growing market.New for CEDIA will be the latest in RGB Spectrumís line of video scalers, the DTQô. This product is a line doubler/tripler/quadrupler that provides exceptional video quality. Developed to improve the quality of video display by de-interlacing the video and interpolating lines, the DTQ produces an expanded video image without visible line structure. Popularly priced at $3,995 and incorporating many features of RGB Spectrumís more expensive scalers, the DTQ is aimed at home theatre and audio visual environments where enhance large-screen video and ease of use are paramount concerns.Another new video scaler is the VKIô200. Unlike line doublers and quadruplers, which can only output a signal locked to the input signal, the VLI200 provides user-programmable output timing to optimize the signal for any projector or other display device. The VLI200 will accept any video source including NTSC/PAL composite video and S-video. The VLI200 offers state-of-the-art decoding, adaptive comb filtering and de-interlacing. Other features of the VLI200 include 1.78:1 and 1.33:1 aspect ratio control, pan and zoom, and flicker elimination. The next step-up in the video scaler line is the SynchroMasterÆ 400, a multimedia display processor which combines the capability of a video scaler/variable line interpolator with that of a signal synchronizer. Intended for large-screen multimedia presentation of video and computer signals, the SynchroMaster 400 allows the user to switch between video and computer signals, as well as to expand the number of lines of video to fill a large screen. Switching is done without ""glitches,"" which otherwise occur when changing between computer and video signals.RGB Spectrum will also demonstrate the popular SuperViewô VGAplus, an advanced display input system that combines multiple computer and video screens on a single monitor or projector. The SuperView VGAplus accepts up to ten inputs, computer and/or video, to be displayed in windows or in the background, and combines the images for display on a high-resolution monitor or projector. Each image can be independently positioned and scaled form icon size to full screen. In addition, each input can be panned and zoomed to emphasize areas of particular interest. For more information, contact RGB Spectrum at 510 814 7000 or visit the Web site at www.rgb.com.
