FutureSmartís new QuickNetwork central features, including patching, that are not available in any other systems. In addition, new plug-in modules were released and can be added to any FutureSmart distribution panel. Another new addition to the line up is the first ever Telephone Key System Unit (KSU) that is mounted in the central distribution panel. (A KSU provides similar functions to a PBX.) The KSU Hub will provide up to 3 incoming phone lines to 8 locations and will provide benefits such as Caller ID, Paging, Intercom, Front Door Station Communication, Call Transfer, Internal Conference Call, etc. The design of the KSU Hub will allow it to work with any generic phone (including cordless phones) as well as the upgraded digital phones.A new 8 location Audio Distribution Module was released that provides inexpensive whole house audio distribution. It routes a stereo audio signal to 8 locations or a mono audio design to 16 locations.
