First Generation of C-Cube Based PC/TV, TV Timeshifting And Video Editing Products To Be Showcased at COMDEX `99

C-Cube Microsystems (Nasdaq: CUBE) and four industry leading hardware and software companies today announced that at COMDEX `99 they will demonstrate the first generation of consumer PC products based on C-Cube's Dvxploreô MPEG-2 CODEC silicon. ATI, Dazzle Multimedia, Metabyte and Ulead Systems will each showcase products that leverage C-Cube's engineering innovation in high quality MPEG-2 encoding for PC/TV viewing, simultaneous MPEG-2 encoding/decoding for TV timeshifting applications as well as frame accurate MPEG-2 editing and realtime special effects for home video editing applications.
