'Horse Soldiers' Brings Dolby Cinema To 100 Announced Titles

Warner Bros. Pictures’ Horse Soldiers will be released in Dolby Cinema, marking the 100th announced title for the format, which combines Dolby Vision, a laser projector-based, high-dynamic range format, with Dolby Atmos immersive sound.

Directed by Nicolai Fuglsig, the war drama stars Chris Hemsworth, Elsa Pataky, Michael Shannon, Michael Pena and Trevante Rhodes, and is slated to open Jan. 19.

New titles planned for Dolby Cinema were announced on Friday, just prior to the start of CineEurope, the theater owners confab that begins Monday in Barcelona.

So far in 2017, Dolby announced 44 titles for the format. The latest include Warners' Dunkirk, Twentieth Century Fox’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Columbia's Granite Mountain Hotshots, Focus Features’ Darkest Hourand Columbia's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Dolby started to roll out the format in specially equipped theaters roughly two years ago.
