Every year for the past four years, Alcons Audio has wowed visitors to the annual US CEDIA Expo with the exceptional sound of the multi-award winning Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience. It would be a difficult task to make 2019 even better than previous years but, again working with Sony, Screen Acoustics and Storm Audio, CEDIA attendees will discover that it has succeeded.
The 2019 CEDIA Expo takes place at the Colorado Convention Center, Denver, from Thursday September 10 to Saturday September 14. One of the best showcases for the US home technology industry, CEDIA Expo’s return to the central US for the first time in five years will make it more convenient for home technology specialists and enthusiasts from throughout north America to experience the sonic superiority of Alcons’ pro-ribbon audio technology.
Located at Booth SR-13 on the show floor, the Alcons Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience lets visitors experience the company's unique ability to deliver hi-fi sound at concert sound pressure levels in any size application. 30 minute demonstrations will take place regularly throughout the three trade show days (September 12-14).
This year, the Alcons 9.x.6 sound system will feature LCR screen channels of pro-ribbon Cinema Reference Monitor System CRMS mkII, CRMSC-LFE18 screen subwoofers, base level surrounds of pro-ribbon compact horizontal/vertical reference surround CRMSC SRHV90 and height level surrounds of wide-dispersion CRMSC SRHV120. The system will be powered and controlled by Sentinel10 amplified loudspeaker controllers with 24 channels, featuring the newly developed VHIR speaker processing.
It will also feature a StormAudio ISP 3D.32 Elite immersive processor, Sony VPL-VW5000ES 4K home theater projector and ScreenAcoustics UltraWeave V6 screen.
The Alcons booth will have the CRMS mkll screen system on static display, with the company’s staff available to discuss any aspects of its pro-ribbon products or high specification home theater audio with show attendees. They will be joined by Walter Fortmüller of Walter Fortmüller SAVO (System Audio Video Optimization), a company which provides end-to-end, bespoke services for both the professional and high end residential markets.
“The Alcons Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience has regularly been described as one of the highlights of CEDIA Expo over the past few years,” says Alcons Audio’s North American Sales manager David Rahn. “Just as in our business, every year we set ourselves the challenge of improving and to impress people more. This has been mirrored by our increasing success and market share in a very competitive industry.
“Working with our partners Sony, Storm Audio and Screen Acoustics, we believe that the 2019 Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience will show why Alcons Audio systems are becoming the ‘go to’ solution for high quality home theater.”
