'Spider-Man' and 'Venom'

Move Up Pre-Holiday Chart

Spider-Man: Far From Home catapulted from No. 19 all the way to No. 5, and Spider-Man: Homecoming joined the chart, on interest around the theatrical release of next franchise installment Spider-Man: No Way Homewhich took in more than $250 million in opening weekend box-office. Venom: Let There Be Carnage slithered over two green Grinches to reclaim the No. 1 spot last week, even as holiday titles continued their strong showing. How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Grinch were Nos. 2 and 3, with Elf and The Polar Express also in the Top 10. New rom-com The Hating Game joined the chart at No. 17. 

DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
