The28 is a massive infrasonic subwoofer. Born from a conversation between Ascendo's co-managing partner Geoffrey Heinzel and Trinnov's CEO Arnaud Laborie, the The28 Sub Squared Pro Passive is intended to tackle low-end duties in rooms that lack large amounts of floor space. Using a 28-inch composite sandwich cone formed by multiple layers of Rohacell and advanced composite materials, the The28 Sub Squared Pro Passive possesses the cone area equivalent of a 32-inch subwoofer but with a cabinet that's significantly more svelte than other Ascendo models. At 31.5 inches wide x 39.4 inches high and an overall depth of just 12 inches, it’s extremely room-friendly; customers can even request a custom option that shrinks the enclosure to as shallow as 8 inches.
