The surface mount PowerPoint and in-wall PowerPlane are designed to cover a very wide area, maximizing performance throughout the room and for a variety of listening positions. The PowerPointís unique wedge shape offers particularly great advantages for ceiling applications. And both utilize Thiel designed and built, ultra-low distortion drivers, phase-correct crossover networks, and coaxial/coplanar driver mounting for realistic reproduction. The PowerPointís suggested retail price is $1,300 each and the PowerPlane is $1,200 each. Thiel Subwoofer Prototype Thiel showed a prototype of its first subwoofer at this yearís CES, a modular model designed to offer much greater sonic integration with the main speakers. The new powered subwoofer uses an innovative electronic controller interface that can be set to automatically adjust for the characteristics of the main speakers, improving performance for use with both Thiel and other brands of loudspeakers.
