The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) promoted Kerry Moyer to Director, Product Divisions. Moyer previously had been Staff Director, Audio and Video Divisions, Specialty Audio and Home Theater Subdivisions at CEA. In his expanded role, Moyer will give strategic direction and oversight to all of CEA's product division activities and programs. While continuing to play a lead role in CEA's Audio and Video Divisions, Moyer also will use his broad industry knowledge in supervising the staff liaisons for the Accessories Division, Communications and Information Technology Products Division, Integrated Home Systems Division and Mobile Electronics Division.As Staff Director for the Audio Division, Moyer coordinated the annual CEA Audio Industry Summit, which provides a forum for audio manufacturers to discuss strategic solutions to challenges facing the audio industry. The CEA-funded audio industry promotion campaign is one industry program developed from the Audio Summit. With the Video Division, he is coordinating the activities of the DTV Definitions Working Group and serves as CEA Staff Liaison to the Video Division Board.Moyer has a long history in the audio industry. For 17 years he worked in sales, sales management, purchasing and marketing for the Washington, D.C.-area specialty audio retail chain, Audio Associates. From 1989 until its sale in 1994, Moyer had a minority ownership in Audio Associates and served as Vice President, Advertising and Promotions. Before joining CEA in 1995, Moyer worked as an independent manufacturer's sales representative for the Nutech Group of Abington, Pennsylvania.Moyer is a graduate of Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.
