Digital Projection Launches 8000 Lumen Projector

Digital Projection, Inc., an Emmy Award winning manufacturer of POWER Displays, large-venue theatrical, presentation, entertainment, and multimedia projection systems, has announced the all-digital POWER 8gv projector. At 8000 peak lumens (7500 ANSI), the 8gv is the brightest projector available based on Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing(tm) (DLP) image modulation technology. According to Mike Levi, President of North America operations, the new 8gv optimizes optical components utilized in the company's current POWER Display projectors to achieve the ultra-bright light output. Included in the 8gv packages are Digital Projection's most popular accessories: - Integrated light shutter - Hard-wired remote adapter - Palm PilotĂ´ control system and PC control software for advanced off screen image adjustment The POWER 8gv is available for immediate delivery. The 8gv's North American list price - including accessories - is $109,995. ""As with our previous new product launches, Digital Projection has created a simple upgrade path for previous POWER Display customers. Owners of 8gv's and 7gv's can cost effectively upgrade their units to the 8gv platform for even brighter imagery,"" Levi said. The 8gv incorporates 1024 x 768 (XGA) native resolution and is capable of reproducing images from sources as high as 1280 x 1024 (SXGA). Further improvements to the optical system increased the ""on to off"" contrast ratio of the 8gv to 450:1, further increasing the perceived resolution of the system.
