DTS has named Brad Plunkett Vice President of Engineering. He is responsible for all day-to-day engineering activities for the company. The announcement was made by Dan Slusser, CEO. Mr. Plunkett brings to DTS over 30 years of experience in electronics engineering and design, leading to the manufacture of innovative products for audio recording and reproduction. He is an AES Fellow and holds sixteen U.S. and foreign patents in the fields of electronic music, instrumentation, and sound field manipulation. Brad is the inventor of the infamous ""Wah Wah Pedal,"" which revolutionized the sound of Rock 'n Roll guitar in the late sixties.""Brad's experience will play an integral role in the development of new products at DTS as the company continues to expand its market share worldwide,"" said Slusser. ""He has a unique ability to build and design new products from the ground up, as well as maintain cost control and improve customer communications."" Mr. Plunkett joins the company directly from Harman International where he served in a variety of executive engineering positions during his sixteen years with the corporation. Most recently, he served as Executive Engineer for the Harman Motive Group, overseeing both mechanical and electronic engineers in the development and introduction of high-image, automotive audio products.
