Broadcasters Want Digital Delay

According to a poll taken at the NATPE Convention, 78 percent of broadcasters believe the digital transition should be delayed, leaders of the National Association of Broadcasters, Association of Local Television Stations and Maximum Service Television told the FCC in a letter. The industry groups cited continuing interoperability disagreements, standard controversies and ""exasperation over commission delays on digital carriage issues"" as reasons for broadcasters' frustrations. The groups called on the commission to end cable's ""sacred cow status"" and impose digital must-carry requirements on cable operators immediately. Source: CreativePlanet.com
