Runco International And Thirsty Ear Hi-Fi Invested In HatcHFest Audiovisual Arts Festival

Runco International Inc. and Bozeman teamed up in support of HatcHFestís annual Hatch Audiovisual Arts Festival, which took place October 4-9, 2005 in Bozeman. As part of Runco and Thirsty Ear Hi Fiís contribution, two Video Xtremeô digital projection systems, valued at over $300,000, were specially customized and donated for screenings during the festival. ìReaching out to individual communities in support of grassroots initiatives that provide mentoring and support for upcoming film artists is a great undertaking,î said Bob Hana, president of Runco International. ìWhen Ron Kinnear of Thirsty Ear Hi-Fi contacted us for our involvement, we were only too happy to support his and HatcHFestís request.î The Hatch Audiovisual Arts Festival brings together artists, actors, directors, producers and other industry professionals in a partnership with emerging artists in the name of ìmentorshipî through a series of workshops, screenings, panel discussions and one-on-one peer groups. HatcHFestís diverse mix of professionals were given special screenings of Universal Studiosí new film, Prime, starring Meryl Streep and Uma Thurman, as well as ABCís adventure drama, Lost. The celebrity line-up included Glenn Close (Actress, Nine Lives), Amy Brenneman (Actress, Nine Lives), Dean Cain (actor, Lost), and Wes Studi (Actor, Edge of America). Musical performances were also given by DJ Mike Relm and George. Ron Kinnear, owner and president of Thirsty Ear Hi-Fi, and his staff are big supporters of the annual event. They outfitted each of theaters used for movie screenings during the festival. Runco International and Thirsty Ear teamed up to provide two of Runcoís Video Xtremeô digital projectors, which were specially designed and calibrated for Bozemanís Ellen Theatre and Rialto Theatre to provide the very best cinematic experience.
