Liberate Technologies announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately held MoreCom, Inc., a leading provider of standards based interactive television infrastructure based in Horsham, Pennsylvania. Under terms of the acquisition, Liberate will issue common stock to existing MoreCom shareholders. The all-stock transaction will be accounted for using purchase accounting and closing is anticipated to occur in the second calendar quarter of 2000.
