Award Winning Author Tom Peters To Deliver Annual Meeting Keynote Speech At CEDIA EXPO 2000

The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) has announced ""In Search Of Excellence"" author Tom Peters as its EXPO 2000 annual meeting keynote speaker. Tagged as the ""Ur-guru (guru of gurus) of management"" by Fortune, Peters' keynote speech will address the creative ideas and progressive themes that have helped other organizations strive in their industry, creating strong individual and organizational practices. Peters has followed his award winning book, ""In Search Of Excellence,"" with a new series on re-inventing work: ""The Brand You 50: Fifty Ways To Transform Yourself From An ëEmployeeí Into A Brand That Shouts Distinction And Passion!,"" ""The Project 50: Fifty Ways To Transform Every ëTaskí Into A Project That Matters,"" and ""The Professional Service Firm 50: Fifty Ways To Transform Your ëDepartmentí Into A Professional Service Firm Whose Trademarks Are Passion And Innovation!"" In addition to the many award-winning books, Peters has authored hundreds of articles for various newspapers and popular academic journals, including Business Week, The Economist, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Inc., ForbesASAP, and The Harvard Business Review. Peters participates in over 80 seminars per year, including appearances in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Germany, the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Turkey, India and more. Peters holds a Bachelors and Masters of Civil Engineering degree from Cornell University and a M.B.A. and Ph.D. from Stanford University. He served active duty in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam and in Washington from 1966 to 1970, was a senior White House drug abuse advisor from 1973-74 and worked at McKinsey & Co. in San Francisco, California, where he was a partner from 1977 to 81. Peters is a Fellow of the International Academy of Management, The World Productivity Association, the International Customer Service Association, and the Society for Quality and Participation. Peters will be speaking during the annual meeting. Immediately following the luncheon, Expo attendees will be invited to hear Peters speak for an hour and a half for a nominal fee.
