In response to the ever-increasing demand for improved residential and business security options, Leviton has introduced two new Decora-styled video cameras that use CMOS image sensor technology for efficient, stable operation under a wide range of conditions.The indoor Decora-Cam is a high-resolution CMOS-based color camera that comes in an easy-to-install, single-gang, custom-molded Decora plate. It features a precision 3.5mm wide-angle, fixed-focus, high-resolution lens that eliminates the need for constant readjustment - an important consideration in difficult-access locations. The unit incorporates a sensitive stereo microphone, as well. In addition, the Decora Cam features an innovative RJ45 output jack that provides high quality long distance point-to-point or networked audio/video transmission over low-cost UTP cabling using Levitonís recently introduced breakthrough Decora Media System. A second version of the camera uses conventional RCA output jacks for connecting to legacy systems.A new Leviton outdoor swivel camera, housed in a weather-resistant enclosure, is also available. It uses an RCA jack and provides black and white NTSC baseband video output for direct connection to any CCTV monitor, line-level video, or designated channel using one of Levitonís video modulators.
