Principal Large Format Premieres ""Loch Lomond: Legend Of The Loch,"" The U.K.ís First IMAXÆ 2D Drama, At The Large Format Cinema Association Conference

Principal Large Format (PLF), based in London, U.K., will premiere the U.K.ís first IMAXÆ 2D drama, ""Loch Lomond: Legend Of The Loch,"" at an industry screening at the Large Format Cinema Association (LFCA) Conference in Los Angeles, California. The film screens at 4pm on Thursday, May 18. Commissioned by Dunbartonshire Enterprise, Scotland, Principal Large Format (PLF) was set the challenge of creating a dramatic large format film to launch its tourist development, Lomond Shores, which is currently under construction at Balloch, situated on the banks of Loch Lomond. ""Legend Of The Loch"" is a ghostly love story that dramatizes the legend behind the world famous song, ""The Bonnie Bonnie Banks Of Loch Lomond."" Commenting on the screening of ""Legend Of The Loch,"" Phil Streather, head of Principal Large Format (PLF), said, ""íLegend Of The Lochí is one of the most eagerly awaited IMAX films within the large format industry for many years. The film is unashamedly dramatic and flies in the face of those who say that drama and IMAX donít mix. ""PLF is leading the way for other independents to make drama that works in IMAX, usually the home for documentaries. Fingers crossed for a good reception!"" he added.
