NetTV Unveils Four New Advanced Progressive Scan Digital Displays At INFOCOMM 2000

36-Inch True Flat Widescreen DTV Takes Center Stage

NetTV, a leading provider of digital and broadband display and entertainment solutions, unveils four new HDTV-ready digital displays as part of its 2000 lineup at INFOCOMM 2000. NetTV's new line of progressive scan HDTV-ready displays include its first-ever true flat widescreen 36-inch HDTV CRT (DTV36XW), and two 4:3 models (DTV29XC and DTV34XC). These models feature conventional component inputs for 480i high definition broadcasts as well as high-resolution component inputs for 480p, 720p and 1080i high definition broadcast signals. Also supported, with a 15-pin RGB input, are computer resolutions up to 1024x768 (non-interlaced). Rounding out the line is the new enhanced 42-inch DTV42WP widescreen thin plasma display. Upgrading the first NetTV generation plasma screen, the new version displays 1280x1024 computer resolution as well as HDTV and is equipped with component inputs. All of these new models are scheduled to begin shipping in July. NetTV displays are priced retail from $1,299 to $11,999. NetTV, which has a base of over 100 resellers, recently received $18.1 million in venture capital funding. Some of these funds will be used to strengthen its presence in the corporate and education markets.
