DolbyÆ Upgrades Services Available To Customers From The Dolby Store Online

DolbyÆ Laboratories is pleased to announce that the Dolby Store, located on the companyís Web site at www.dolby.com, has been upgraded to better serve its customers. Upgrades include online ordering capabilities and reduced shipping costs for European customers. ""Since launching the Dolby Store last year, the popularity of Dolby merchandise has skyrocketed,"" said Mina Millet, Vice President, Chief Information Officer. ""To better serve our customers, we have implemented a secure online ordering function and have significantly reduced shipping costs to Europe."" To place an online order, the customer logs onto www.dolby.com/dstore and simply selects the products they wish to buy. Once all products have been selected, the customer proceeds to the checkout to complete the purchase on one, easy online form. Customers from most European countries can now have the products shipped at a reduced rate less than 1/3 of the original shipping price. This benefit is available to customers in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, the Republic of Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. ""We are pleased to offer the new expanded service to our customers,"" said Dennis Staats, Manager of Technology Marketing. ""It not only increases our ability to better serve our customers on a global basis, it enables them to shop at home, without even having to make a phone call."" Current items available through the Dolby Store include a selection of Dolby movie posters, the ""Consumer Guide To Home Theater"" videotape, ""DVD Spectacular"" (the first audio-only 5.1-channel DVD with complete musical selections), Dolby Digital T-shirts, badge pins and luggage tags, Dolby rain jackets, mouse pads, lapel pins, Dolby Digital baseball caps and the Dolby Digital home theater wall plaque. Retailers and licensees may purchase various Dolby Surround Pro Logic and Dolby Digital logo banners, demonstration and test discs for Dolby DVD and Dolby Digital, and ""Dolby Technologies: How They Work"" on videotape and LaserDisc.
