Genelec, Inc., exclusive U.S. distributor of Genelec Active Home Theatre Systems, introduces the new HT210 Two-Way Bi-Amplified Active Monitor. The HT210 was designed to provide an alternative two-way speaker solution for home theatre installations that would typically use a larger three-way system. The HT210 provides clean, accurate sound, with extremely high SPLís and a wide dynamic range. The HT210 is a two-way Active Near Field Monitor, magnetically shielded, that employs a 10-inch woofer and 1-inch metal dome tweeter loaded with Genelec's Directivity Control Waveguide Technology (DCWô). The HT210 features a compact design (19 1/2 H x 12 5/8 W x 11 1/3 D inches) and includes an integrated electronic crossover, a 180-watt amplifier for bass, a 120-watt amplifier for treble, room response equalizers and RCA as well as balanced XLR inputs. The Genelec HT210 has a frequency response of 42Hz-21kHz ±2dB and can achieve extremely high SPLs - 124dB SPL @1 meter. The HT210 Active Home Theatre Monitor incorporates Genelecís proprietary Directivity Control Waveguide Technology. The DCW provides an extremely stable and precise soundstage throughout the listening area. This improved directivity control results in more direct (and less reflected) sound reaching the listener, which produces a more realistic and stable image. The HT210 monitors can be used in both vertical and horizontal orientations by simply rotating the DCW unit. In addition, the HT210 features a Signal Sensing-Auto-On/Off Circuit and is available in a durable black finish. An optional black-knit removable grill is also available. ""We developed the HT210 Active Home Theatre Monitors based on input from our dealers and installers who requested a speaker providing all the advantages of larger three-way systems in a small, cost effective package,"" stated Hank Finke, National Sales Manager for Genelec Active Home Theatre Systems. ""The HT210ís allow installers to take on larger home theatre installations without having to go to the size and expense of a three-way system. Like all Genelec Active Home Theatre Monitors, they deliver clean, powerful sound with detail and accuracy."" The new Genelec home theatre products are currently available through Genelec's authorized home theatre dealer network. The suggested retail price for the HT210 is $2900.00. Genelec, the pioneer in Active Monitoring technology, was founded in 1978 and has concentrated its efforts and resources into the design and manufacturing of active monitoring loudspeakers with unparalleled sonic accuracy. Genelec has been credited with promoting the concept of active monitors, a trend in technology that some manufacturers are just now incorporating into their products. The result is an active home theatre monitoring system with accurate imaging, extremely high acoustic output from a very small enclosure, and true high fidelity with low-distortion and deep, rich bass.
