Celebration Weekend At The Cinerama Dome

Pacificís Cinerama Dome theatre will be screening ""Ben Hur"" and 70mm prints of ""Lawrence Of Arabia"" and ""Terminator 2"" during the July 28-30, 2000 weekend. Following the celebration weekend screenings, the theatre will be closed for an undisclosed period of time for renovation. Upon re-opening, the famous theatre will be newly equipped for Cinerama presentations. In addition, a new multiplex will be built around the existing Cinerama Dome. Screening schedule: ""Terminator 2: Judgment Day"" (70mm) Friday, July 28 - 7pm/10:30pm ""Lawrence Of Arabia"" (70mm) Saturday, July 29 - 1pm Sunday, July 30 - 7pm ""Ben Hur"" (35mm) Saturday, July 29 - 7pm Sunday, July 30 - 1pm All seats $3.50 - Includes theatre and Cinerama Exhibition. $1.00 popcorn and soda - all proceeds to benefit the Wonder of Reading. Boasting a 90-foot wide screen, the inaugural presentation was ""Itís A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World."" Since then, numerous premieres, special screenings and famous films have been shown on their huge, curved screen.
