The new 360-degree circle film, ""Berlin Symphony"", produced by Iwerks Entertainment Inc. (NASDAQ: IWRKC) for Sony Corp. is now playing exclusively in the World Music theatre of Sony Music Box, the high-tech, music-centric, interactive entertainment area of Sony Center am Potsdamer Platz, Sony's new European headquarters in Berlin.Nodding to history, musical tradition and its location opposite the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, the ten-minute ""Berlin Symphony"" pays homage to some great 20th century cinematic city portraits, evoking such classics as ""Symphony Of A City"" and ""Man With A Movie Camera."" Bringing together the old, the new and the unique, ""Berlin Symphony"" was shot on film in the rare 360-degree or circle film format. It is presented in high-definition video in a cylindrical, nine-screen standing room-only theatre, in which guests are surrounded by graphic, moving, changing images. The film was shot on location with the Iwerks 360 rig, a formidable nine-camera, 700lb. rig developed by company co-founder Don Iwerks, based on the original CircleVision rig Iwerks designed some 40 years earlier for Disney. Iwerks producer Doug Yellin's creative team included composer Bill Ross and writer Robert Demaio. ""The circle format is ideal for communicating the life - the bustle - the gestalt of a city. It helped us capture the feel of Berlin's 1920 cabaret days,"" says Yellin, who is now wrapping up Iwerks' latest production, a large format concert film of superstar band 'N Sync. For more information about Iwerks, visit www.iwerks.com.
