Minnetonka Offers DolbyÆ Digital And DTSÆ Digital Surroundô 5.1 Encoders

Minnetonka just announced that they are offering two Surround Sound encoders for DVD authoring - SurCode for DolbyÆ Digital encoding and SurCode DVD Professional for DTSÆ Digital Surroundô encoding. SurCode for Dolby Digital encodes stereo and 5.1 surround to the .ac3 format. The encoder is fully licensed and certified by Dolby, and includes all encoding options. SurCode DVD Professional encodes 5.1 surround sound to the DTS Digital Surround format for DVD and CD. SurCode DVD Professional is fully licensed and certified by DTS and is suitable for commercial releases. Both products run under Windows 95, 98, 2000, or NT, and accept six .wav or .aiff files from any source. SurCode for Dolby Digital is $995 and is currently shipping.
