DTSÆ Names Eduardo Machtus Latin America Cinema Sales Manager

DTSÆ (Digital Theater Systems) has appointed Eduardo Machtus Camere Latin America Cinema Sales Manager. The announcement was made by Andrea Nee, Vice President and General Manager, DTS Cinema Group. Mr. Machtus is a well-known figure in the exhibition and distribution markets in Latin America. He joins DTS after a 16-year stint with United International Pictures, the last five years of which were spent in Mexico as the General Director. As Latin America's largest market, Eduardo was directly responsible for the distribution and marketing of all UIP titles in Mexico. ""He possesses the necessary skills, knowledge and relationships to help DTS expand into the Latin America territories."" Machtus has been credited with aggressively establishing start-up markets and distribution channels in countries such as Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela during his ten-year tenure with Warner Bros.
