Scaleable Architecture Enables An Array Of Products For Affordable HDTV

TeraLogic announced that its digital TV technology is the basis for products being exhibited by Digital STREAM, Eagle Wireless, Hauppauge and Global Telemann, at the COMDEX conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. TeraLogic's digital TV technology, which serves as the catalyst for the rapid deployment of high definition digital TV products on the PC platform and set-top boxes, allows any consumer to enjoy the clarity of live HDTV digital broadcasts that are up to six times better than conventional analog broadcasts. TeraLogic's reference platforms and ICs have allowed Digital STREAM, Hauppauge and Global Telemann to provide their customers with affordable easy to use PC receiver add-in cards, which support ATSC terrestrial broadcasts, and give full resolution HDTV on either a PC monitor or television. Eagle Wireless used the same platform to develop a convergent set-top box (CSTB) that is a DVD/CD player, Internet access appliance, HDTV receiver and game console. Eagle Wireless is providing a complete HDTV package that includes a 27-inch HDTV monitor with its CSTB.
