RGB Spectrum Introduces New DualView Side-by-Side Display Processor For Home Theatre

New System Scales Video For Highest Quality, And Splits The Screen For Simultaneous TV-Internet Experience

13-Dec-00

The new DualView has a special application for home theatre - the ability to view television and interact with a related Web site simultaneously on the same screen. RGB Spectrum's new DualViewô multimedia processor brings an entirely new capability to home theatre - the ability to watch television and interact with a computer simultaneously, on the same screen. Designed with large-screen 16:9 flat panel displays in mind, the DualView will accept any standard video and computer signals and display them full-screen, or side-by-side. Ideal for the sports enthusiast, the DualView would allow viewing of a game and simultaneous interaction on a related Web site, for example. Rather than splitting the user's attention between a TV screen and a separate computer monitor, the DualView will show both side-by-side on the same screen. The DualView includes internal video scalers that convert all video and computer signals to match the native resolution of any projector, monitor or flat panel display. Video from broadcast, tapes, DVDs, video codecs and cameras is processed and enhanced to bring out the highest possible quality. With state-of-the-art de-interlacing, adaptive comb filtering and line interpolation, the DualView produces a film-like image without visible line structure. In addition, the DualView offers aspect ratio control including stretching and cropping capabilities to best fit images on a display, whether in 4:3 or 16:9 format.
