Who: The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) What: The Future Of Home Networking - Tying It All Together When: Sunday, January 7, 2001, 4-5pm Where: Las Vegas Hilton Hotel, Grand and Royal Salons Why: To see previously incompatible home networking systems working together and to experience the applications that are enabled by interconnecting consumer electronics products. This demonstration of the Versatile Home Network features products that have overcome the compatibility hurdle to provide real benefit to consumers. The special press reception will feature a guided tour and working demonstration of products from various manufacturers communicating on a 1394b backbone. This event will showcase high-definition video, home controls, VoIP, telephony, and more-all running over conventional wiring. CEA is offering a special ""press only"" viewing of the demo before opening it for public viewing. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served and there will be plenty of time to explore the products and ask questions. Source: CEA
