Celebrating Oliver Stoneís ""The Doors"" special edition DVD release, Artisan Home Entertainment and Video Store Magazine will co-host an opening night party for attendees of the 20th annual VSDA Convention featuring the Home Entertainment Expo & DVD Festival 2001. This late night event will follow the showís DVD Awards and Cocktail Party festivities on Sunday, January 7, 2001 and will feature a special live performance by original Doors guitarist Robbie Krieger, and the Robbie Krieger Band, who will entertain convention attendees with vintage ""Doors"" music all night long. All registered attendees of the VSDA Convention are invited to dance the night away at this 60s themed party from 10:30pm-1:30am. at the C2K nightclub within the Las Vegas Venetian Hotel and Casino. Beverages will be served. The announcement was made by Bo Andersen, President of the Video Software Dealers Association, and Kimbirly Orr, Show Director of Advanstar Communications, Inc. VSDA and Advanstar are partners in show producer Home Entertainment Events, chaired by Andersen. The annual VSDA Convention will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada January 7-9, 2001, at the state-of-the-art Sands Expo Center/Venetian Hotel.
