DTSÆ announced plans to begin shipment of the first DVD-Audio music recordings produced by its company-owned DTS Entertainment record label by late February 2001. Each DVD-Audio title will be marketed as a ""DTS Music Experience,"" and will include MLPô multichannel and stereo tracks for DVD-Audio players, plus a DTS ""Master Quality"" multichannel soundtrack and a DolbyÆ Digital stereo track (for compatibility with all existing DVD-Video players.)Advance copies of the first DVD-Audio titles will be available for purchase at a DTS-sponsored software store (Alexis Park, room 2851) throughout the CES convention, January 6-9, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mass production will begin shortly after the show, with the first discs arriving in retail stores in time for a street date in late February. Retail buyers will receive complete ordering procedures and instructions by the middle of January. The first DVD-Audio titles scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2001 include a series of 96kHz/24-bit classical titles from ILIAD, the pop/rock classic ""Toy Matinee"" (produced by Patrick Leonard), Steve Stevensí popular ""Flamenco A Go-Go"" and ""The Fabulous Thunderbirds.""
