Adding another member to its award-winning Isys family of touchpanel control systems, Crestron is introducing the Isys TPS-4500 advanced touchpanel.The latest addition to Crestronís Isys family of products that has earned 2001 CES Innovations Awards for Best Of Show and Best Integrated Home System, the new Crestron TPS-4500 features the sleek curves, ergonomics and high performance now synonymous with the Isys name and provides the rich, unmatched high-resolution picture - either full screen or in a window - found only with Isys.The Isys TPS-4500 offers a 12-inch diagonal touch-sensitive active matrix SVGA display (800 x 600 pixels) with an ergonomic Soft-Touch adjustable screen tilt (30-80 degrees) design. Color control graphics, including 2D and 3D icons, photos and animations are easy to read, even at extreme viewing angles. Like its acclaimed cousins in the Isys family, the TPS-4500 features a distinctive modular design that allows users to upgrade capabilities simply by installing optional expansion cards for video, memory and RF wireless modules. By installing the optional TPS-VID expansion card, the TPS-4500 can display full-motion NTSC or PAL video on the touchpanel with 256,000 colors. The TPS-VID card contains an RJ-45 video input digitizer and the system supports both composite and S-Video formats. Upgrading to wireless with the TPS-4500 is as easy as inserting the two-way wireless module.With Crestron's exclusive VisionToolsô Pro-e WindowsÆ-based design and programming software, designing any touchpanel is as simple as dragging the mouse. With the TPS-4500, the user can also create unlimited control screens with up to 4,000 functions including buttons, sliders, digital readouts, pop-up menus and icon configurations including multi-mode objects that fully customize any control environment. With up to 64MB of memory and high-speed performance, graphics load and display in real time, even while multitasking.With the TPS-4500LB, this new product is also designed to be flush or surface-mounted in a wall or lectern with faceplates that can be painted to match most any decor.
