12-Jan-00

Fujitsu, the world leader in flat-panel plasma display monitors, and Panja Inc., (NASDAQ: PNJA) a leader in device networking and innovative uses of broadband communications, announced that Fujitsu has signed on as a member of the Panja Partner Program (P3). P3ís purpose is to standardize connectivity between electronic devices such as home entertainment components and the Internet, using Panjaís Internet Control System Protocol (ICSP). The partnership will enable Fujitsu to maximize connectivity between its advanced-technology video display devices and the Internet in home entertainment systems, custom installations and commercial applications. As a member of the P3 program, Fujitsu will work with Panja to support the development of a common interface between Panjaís Internet Control System Protocol, and Fujitsuís Plasmavision SlimScreen plasma display monitors and high end LCD multimedia projectors. Once connected, a Fujitsu display device will function as part of an integrated control network that enables users to operate a broad range of audio/video and home networking components from a single easy-to-use remote control system. The system is being developed to include Internet connectivity, and will enable users to view Internet content such as Web pages and streaming video through their home entertainment systems without using a computer, as well as access a Panja P3 control system remotely through the Internet. Tedd Rozylowicz, Fujitsu Senior Vice President, noted, ""Fujitsu is extremely proud to become a member of the Panja Partner Program. We constantly strive to make our video display products as user-friendly as possible and maximize the synergies between Fujitsu products and the systems they are installed in. The P3 alliance is a major step in achieving this synergy in a wide variety of consumer and commercial applications, and is part of our efforts to create mutually beneficial partnerships with vendors in the field. In fact, both Fujitsu and Panja were participants in the recent Solutions Fair, a landmark industry event that brought a number of manufacturers together to explore advanced integrated home entertainment solutions."" Rozylowicz continued, ""We are particularly enthusiastic about the P3 allianceís efforts toward connecting home entertainment systems and the Internet. This is clearly the future of home entertainment, and we are excited to be a major participant in making it a reality."" Panja President and Chief Executive Officer Joe Hardt said, ""Panja is proud to include Fujitsu in the P3 Partner Program. Fujitsuís video display products and Panja control systems are exemplary of the networking technology that will dominate the future of the residential and enterprise integration."" Fujitsuís Plasmavision SlimScreen monitors are the ultimate Convergent Visual Mediumô for the digital era. Along with their unique home theatre benefits, they allow users to enjoy computer games, surf the Web and more with spectacular big-screen impact. In addition, Fujitsu offers a complete line of advanced-technology multimedia LCD projectors that deliver the brightest, sharpest images available and offer unmatched installation flexibility.
