James Brown Wows Capacity Crowd At Monster's Dealer Awards And Concert, During 2001 International CES In Las Vegas, Nevada

Monster Cableís annual Dealer Awards And Concert was the hot ticket for those attending the 2001 CES. The grand ballroom at the Mirage hotel was decorated with balloons and filled with a standing room-only crowd. Nearly three thousand guests attended the festivities in honor of the Most Monsterous Dealers Of The Year Awards, then enjoyed the private concert that followed. The overflow crowd cheered and danced during the rousing concert starring The Godfather Of Soul - music legend James Brown. Noel Lee, the Head Monster, presided over the awards portion of the evening. A complete list of the Most Monsterous winners follows at the end of this release. Ultimate Electronics was a triple threat on awards night. Not only did they walk away with the most prestigious award, the Gold Award, they also won two other awards - Most Monsterous Audio/Video Specialty Chain and Most Monsterous Car Audio Chain Retailer.They Felt Good, Shooby Dooby Dooby Do, Like We Knew That They Would, Shooby Dooby Dooby Do After the awards ceremony, James Brown and his band thrilled the audience with nearly two-and-a-half hours of music from Brown's extraordinarily long list of hit songs, along with his inimitable style of dancing and humor. Among the highlights from his repertoire, he sang ""I Got You (I Feel Good),"" ""It's A Man Man Man World,"" ""Papa's Got A Brand New Bag"" and ""I Got The Feelin'."" His finale of ""I Feel Good"" so excited the audience that many industry professionals jumped onto the stage and danced themselves. During a break in the concert, Noel Lee presented Mr. Brown with a Monster Lifetime Achievement giant connector award and welcomed him into the Monster family.
